Krix engineered bass driver featuring, large vented magnet ferrite magnet, copper shorting ring and symmetrical gap geometry for minimum distortion at all levels
Optional safety chain bracket

The KX-1870 cinema surround loudspeaker offers high power handling and high sensitivity, in a package that suits a wide range of cinema sound applications. The cabinet is braced and critically damped featuring a 15 degree angled front baffle to ensure optimum coverage within the auditorium while reducing reflections off the ceiling.

The specially damped 1 inch fabric dome tweeter coupled, with a proprietary matching waveguide offers optimised dispersion. It provides an exceptionally smooth, well controlled high frequency response setting a new bench mark for surround loudspeaker reproduction. The single 10 inch bass driver has a 2 inch vented magnet voice coil, featuring a copper shorting ring for low harmonic distortion delivering superior surround sound resolution.

Building on a long and successful history within the cinema industry, our in-house research, development and manufacturing team deliver a strong focus on quality and rigorous production standards. Every speaker that leaves Krix has been fully tested in an advanced acoustic measurement chamber. Tight production tolerances are upheld to ensure best-in-class product quality and reliability.

The KX-1870.F is available as a low profile flat version specifically designed to be flush mounted on ceiling specifically to meet Dolby® Atmos™ surround sound requirements. Also available is the low profile version, the KX-1875, developed to better suit auditoriums of limited width where the protrusion of the surround loudspeakers into the listening space should be restricted.
