The KA-1100
Overview
In a recent project, Livewire Home Theatre designed and installed a powerful new home cinema anchored by the Krix MX-10 modular front wall system - delivering a true commercial cinema experience in a residential space.
The System
The MX-10 is engineered to bring the dynamics, scale and clarity of a real cinema to the home. In this installation, the system is driven by a combination of the Krix KA-1100 power amplifier and a Marantz AVR - providing both control and muscle in equal measure.

Purpose-built by Krix to drive large subwoofers with clean, stable power, the KA-1100 was the perfect match for the MX-10’s integrated subwoofer modules. Provides processing and amplification for the screen and surround channels, complementing the dedicated KA-1100 subwoofer amplification. - AC Infinity cooling unit
Keeps the equipment rack cool and optimised for performance and longevity.
The result
The outcome is a reference-grade home cinema where power meets precision. With the KA-1100 driving the MX-10’s subwoofers, the room delivers bass that is not only felt but defined - perfectly controlled and seamlessly integrated with the system’s crystal-clear screen channels.
