Another CEDIA Expo is in the books – and the Krix Sound Room continues to make some noise.

EasyHT Tech has released a dedicated look inside The Krix Experience at CEDIA 2026, describing the Krix demonstration as “one of my favourites at CEDIA 2026.”

The video takes viewers behind the scenes of our 11.8.6 Real Cinema at Home demonstration, exploring the loudspeakers, subwoofers and technology that brought the room to life.

17 speakers. Eight subwoofers. One cinema experience.

At the heart of the system were 17 OWX-55 loudspeakers, used throughout the front, surround and upper layers.

With a shallow cabinet, compression driver and Krix constant-directivity horn, the OWX-55 is designed to deliver high output and controlled, consistent sound throughout the room while offering the installation flexibility required in dedicated cinema spaces.

But there was another Krix product attracting plenty of attention.

The UCX-118 subwoofer made its first public demonstration at CEDIA, with eight units positioned across the front and rear of the room.

Working with Trinnov WaveForming, the system delivered tightly controlled, powerful low-frequency performance across the cinema – something EasyHT Tech was quick to notice:

"The calibration was done incredibly well and WaveForming when done right, is amazing."

From commercial cinema to your cinema

Visitors to the Krix space were also greeted by something considerably larger: our towering KX-5996 commercial cinema loudspeaker system.

It wasn't there just to turn heads.

For more than 50 years, Krix has designed loudspeakers in Adelaide, Australia, with our systems now heard in commercial cinemas and homes around the world.

The KX-5996 provided a striking demonstration of that connection.

Technologies developed to deliver clear, dynamic sound into large commercial auditoriums – including our approach to horn design and controlled directivity – have been refined and scaled for our dedicated home cinema range.

The result is the same philosophy, brought much closer to home.

Australian cinema enthusiasts will soon have their opportunity to experience the award-winning Krix UCX-118.

The UCX-118 will make its next demonstration appearance at the StereoNET Hi-Fi & AV Show in Melbourne, 16–18 October 2026, as part of the Krix demonstration room.
